Just a quick update on what we’ve been up to recently. We’ve been steadily working on the new album and have rough versions of about 9 songs finished. Recording will likely start this spring/early summer.

We’re also in the process of remixing our 2009 EP Psalms of Deceit. It will feature remixed/remastered versions of all 6 songs plus two bonus tracks (TBA soon).

New website design complete. New live video!

Just finished up the new website design. I think it looks a bit better than the last version as well! Let me know that you think.

I also wanted to give everyone a quick update on what’s happening with us. We took a bit of an unplanned hiatus over the last few months due to various complications of which I won’t bore you with. The good news is we are gearing up to start touring again and are currently writing new material for a full length album. I’m also in the final month or two of the build process for the new location of my recording studio, MindCycle Studios.

Next year will definitely be exciting for us and you can expect more frequent updates as things progress on the new album. In the meantime here’s a previously unreleased live video from our Despara CD release show earlier this year. Enjoy!

Cryogen Announces New Guitarist

We’re happy to welcome Chris Ghigliotty to the Cryogen family! He will be filling the second guitar spot. We felt freeing up Darkness to focus on vocals was the best move for the band and will help us achieve a tighter live sound. Chris was the best fit out of everyone we auditioned for the spot. Chris comes from former Colorado metal band Followed by Silence, who our drummer Aaron was a part of as well.
